Junior Harriers win in Fife

JUNIOR Strathearn Harriers won Fife AC’s annual mini-tour series, made up of five races over consecutive nights: a beach run at Tentsmuir, a hill race at East Lomond, a trail race at Falkland, a time trial at Hill of Tarvit and a multi-terrain race at Kingsbarns.

For the girls Catriona Roberts won one of her races and had three second-place finishes and a third-place finish, winning the U13 category by nearly two minutes.

For the boys Sol Sweeney won three of his five races and was overall winner in the U15 category with a three-minute lead. At U11 his brother Levi finished seventh.

Chris and Finlay Martin, Keir McEwen, Matthew and James Manners all achieved top 10 finishes.

Strathearn Harriers are organising a junior one mile race on Sunday, July 8, the day of Crieff 10k. It takes place at Morrison’s Academy sports fields with prizes at U11, U13 and U15.
