Events in store for primary kids this summer

THE Strathearn Recreation Centre and Perth and Kinross Council’s Youth Services have teamed up to produce a programme of fun activities for Primary School aged children this summer.

The events will kick-off on Monday, July 6, with a week of Community Sports events in Comrie, Muthill, Madderty and Crieff.

This will be followed by a week of Street Sports, a Wet n’ Wild Week, a Tournaments Week, Pre-School activities and a final week of Community Sports.

Week 1 programme (sessions £1 per child): Community Sports Events - Monday, July 6: Comrie White Church, indoor sports and activities, 10am to 12noon; Legion Park, Comrie, outdoor sports and activities, 1pm to 3pm.

Tuesday, July 7: Muthill Primary School, indoor sports and activities, 10am to 12noon; Muthill Primary School, outdoor sports and activities, 1pm to 3pm.

Wednesday, July 8: Madderty Community Hall, indoor sports and activities, 10am to 12noon; Madderty Community Hall, outdoor sports and activities, 1pm to 3pm.

Thursday, July 8 - Taylor Park, Crieff, outdoor sports and activities, 1pm to 3pm.

Friday, July 9 - Strathearn Recreation Centre, indoor sports and activities, 10am to 12noon, 1pm to 3pm. (Parent and baby swimming 2.15-2.45pm.

Over in the Lang Toon the Auchterarder Sports Facility are offering Active Fun full and half day camps throughout the holidays. These will run from 8.45am to 5.30pm for P1 to P7 with a range of activities including football, creative fun, racket sports and Wii games. To book telephone (01764) 661334.
