AUCHTERARDER’S Prostar six-a-side league saw Earnvale Thistle go down 3-1 against Glenburn Giants in the opening match of the night. They remain bottom of the table with two weeks of the season remaining.
Saints United turned in a hugely impressive display to see off likely league champions Where is Sophie. Saints were simply brilliant as goals from Aaron MacGilvary and Cameron Macaree (2) gave them a deserved 3-1 win.
Langtoun Locomotiv did battle with Udineasy in the final match of the night and powered to a 6-1 success to stay on course for second place.
League secretary Paul Spacey said: It now appears that the title favourites could be caught if they lose their final two games, despite looking home and dry a couple of weeks ago.”
