Crieff claim second league title
FOR the second year running a team from Crieff High School won their section of the Perth and Kinross schools football league.
In almost a repeat performance of their S1 final last year the S2 final saw the Crieff boys at home to Perth High.
Connor Stewart got the opening goal for Crieff but the homesters were 2-1 down as the whistle blew for the interval.
Early in the second half Crieff’s Gareth Gill equalised and Keir Cramb quickly scored again to take them into the lead.
Perth High fought back, levelling the score to 3-3, then Stewart scored a fantastic goal from the edge of the box to secure the league trophy in the last five minutes.
Captain Mark Reilly collected the trophy, which was presented by Clare Mulqueeney from Perth and Kinross Active Sports.
Craig Deans at Crieff High School organised the S2 football league this year.
