Auchterarder 6 Methven 3
AUCHTERARDER made it into the hat for the third round of the Scottish Cup with a convincing win against highflying third division outfit Methven.
Auchter were in control from start to finish but were made to fight all the way against a determined side. The home side could have been two up in the first five minutes but failed to finish.
Instead they found themselves one down on seven minutes after failing to clear their lines from a corner but equalised a minute later after a great ball from Cameron found Kirkaldy, who headed the ball home.
Auchter had a goal chopped off and were denied a stonewall penalty before Methven went in front again only for Robertson to level.
Auchter changed formation to3-4-3 in the second half and quickly went in front with a superb strike from Burke. Methven scored to level soon after but the Lang Toon team were storming forward at every opportunity, scoring a further three goals. Proff was on target and two more from Robertson completed his hat-trick.
Team: Yurdakol, Watson, (Emerson), C. Walker, G. Walker, Burke, Cameron, Deans, Kirkaldy, (McPhee), Patterson, Cunningham, (Proff), Robertson. Subs not used: Innes, Wilson.
