A Kent family recieved a very unusual Christmas guest in the form of a baby seal pup who appeared in their garden.
Harriet Dwyer discovered the pup in her family's garden, which is nowhere near the sea.
The seal, affectionately named Rudolph by Harriet was happy to rest in the pond while her father, Professor Tim Dwyer contacted the RSPCA and the police.
It is thought that the cute creature, who is under one year old made his way to the garden after swimming up the River Rother which leads out to the English Channel.
Rudolph who has been renamed Gulliver has been taken to the RSPCA's Mallydams Wood Wildlife Centre.
