ROADWORKS on the A9 at Greenloaning mean that there will be temporary changes to the bus schedule.
Perth and Kinross Council advised this week that, as a result of roadworks starting next week on the A9 overbridge at Greenloaning, four bus services will be subject to change.
The roadworks are due to begin on Monday (June 25) and are expected to last for three weeks.
The services affected are as follows:
Stagecoach Perth services 47/647 southbound journeys. While the 6.40am Monday to Friday and 6.45am Saturday journeys departing Crieff will operate as normal, all other journeys leaving Crieff will be covered by two vehicles, both of which will depart from Crieff as per the current timetable.
The main, larger vehicle will divert south of Muthill from the A822 on to the A823 via Gleneagles Hotel to join the A9 at Loaninghead for onward travel to Dunblane, Bridge of Allan and Stirling.
Passengers wishing to travel between locations on the A822 south of its junction with the A823 near Bishop’s Bridge (principally Braco and Greenloaning) and to/from Dunblane, Bridge of Allan or Stirling, will be carried by a separate midibus.
Between south of Greenloaning and Stirling this second vehicle will set down only. Neither vehicle will stop on the A9 except at designated bus bays.
Both vehicles will serve all locations from Balhaldie Services southwards two minutes later than in the published timetable. Passengers planning onward connections at Dunblane or Stirling should make allowance for this.
Northbound service 47 journeys will be unaffected by this road closure.
Docherty’s Midland Coaches services 19/20 and Stagecoach Perth service 19 southbound journeys will also be unable to serve Greenloaning from Monday.
Northbound service 19 and 20 journeys will run as normal.
