Bank not closing despite closures!

WORRIED Comrie residents feared they were losing the last bank in the village when the branch of the Royal Bank of Scotland closed for a couple of days last week.

However, a Royal Bank of Scotland spokesperson has assured the Herald that this is not the case.

It is understood that technical difficulties commensurate with a rural branch had forced it to operate on reduced hours.

The spokesperson said that it is very rare that this should happen but was not a sign that the village was going to lose the branch.
