TWO Crieff High School pupils have been asked to raise money to help renovate a Romanian school.
Jenny Logan and Amber Fairlie have been working hard to raise funds to help two schools in the eastern European country and so far have raised £2,555 of their £3000 goal.
The teenagers, who are members of the local Seventh Day Adventist Church, opened a charity shop to bring in money and more recently, spent a day at Somerfield with collecting tins, trying to get donations.
All of the cash raised so far will be used to buy equipment and pay for some renovation work for the schools.
However, since setting their target for fundraising, the girls learned that the local council in Romania is planning extensive renovations on one of the schools.
But as the council doesn’t have enough money to complete the work on the outside of the building, Jenny and Amber are being asked to raise more money to pay for the internal upgrading.
Anyone who would like to make a donation can contact Ruth Farrer on 01764 652611.
