Spaces available in Auchterarder Adult Education classes

AUCHTERARDER Adult Education is again running a range of classes to suit all tastes and there are still spaces left for January.

The courses are open to anyone over 18 and include some new classes as well as regular favourites.

Freshen up your mind and body with Tai Chi, an ancient, gentle exercise from China tutored by Iain Naylor a well known tutor of nearly 30 years experience. There is also Yoga – with relax and flow, Circle Dancing from around the world and Scottish Country Dancing for the slightly more energetic.

A new craft class is Knitting - beyond the printed pattern with Deborah Gray and we will continue with Soft Furnishings where students can learn to make cushions, table cloths, Austrian and Roman blinds and other small projects. Other textile classes include Upholstery and Creative Stitching.

We are also offering the traditional craft of Crook Making, several different types of Art classes, Garden Design for those wanting to give their garden a makeover and two Stained Glass Art classes to cater for beginners and also those with experience to take their skills further.

Recognising a local need we also offer English for Speakers of other Languages, a friendly and informal way to learn with qualified tutor Pam Roberts.

Most classes start this week (Art topics one week later) and run for between 8 and 10 weeks in The Community School, The Ochil Towers School, the Parish Church Hall and Soft Furnishings will be in Iona Designs in the High St.
