Auchterarder Common Good Fund meets

AUCHTERARDER Common Good Fund committee this week discussed an application for financial assistance from the Auchterarder Leisure and Recreation Association.

ALRA were seeking financial assistance towards the cost of fixtures and fittings for the Auchterarder Farmers Market.

The Association would like to run the first market on Saturday, January 9, 2010 and thereafter on the second Saturday of every month.

They state that the total setting up and operational costs amount to £55,000 and the request to the committee was for £1,800 for cupboards, cabling and mobile sinks.

The committee recommended that a grant of £1,000 should be awarded towards the specific items.

The Common Good Fund committee have noted in the report that it is anticipated that a loss of £3,000 will be generated in the financial year 2009/2010 and the Fund’s Revenue Account Balance will be £268,711 at March 31, 2010.
