Helpers wanted for shoebox appeal

THE local support group for the Blythswood Shoebox Appeal 2009 are holding two box covering mornings in St Columbus Church.

These will take place on Tuesday, August 4 and the following Tuesday, August 11 from 9.30am to 1pm.

Anyone is welcome to join them during this time - even if you can only stay for an hour your help would be appreciated.

All that is asked is that you bring along scissors and some sellotape, Christmas wrapping paper will be provided.

The support group are also looking for donations of double knitting wool or anyone willing to knit hats, scarves etc for this year’s appeal.
