MEDAL WINNERS: Some of the Crieff High athletes who won medals at this year's County Sports.
FORTY Crieff High pupils competed at the County Sports in June at the George Duncan Stadium, Perth. A number of successes were recorded and overall the team finished in second place.
Two pupils were selected to represent the Tayside team at the Scottish Inter-Area Championships, Kate Hendry (Discus) and Lorna MacLarty (800m).
Crieff High medallists were as follows:
Gold Medallists - S1: Kate Hendry - Discus (new county record 22.04m); Lorna MacLarty - 200m & 800m. S4: Peter Muirhead - 100m; Rebecca Dodge - High Jump. S5: Donald Tod - Long Jump (New County record 6.52m); Shoni Tavendale - 400m. 4X100m relay Senior boys.
Silver Medallists - S3: Robert Garner - Shot Putt; S4: Peter Muirhead - 200m. S5: Mark Pettigrew - Discus & Shot Putt. 4x100m relay junior girls. 4x100m relay intermediate girls.
Bronze Medallists - S1: Iona Tavendale - Long Jump; Kate Hendry - High Jump; Isla Bendall - 100m. S2: Hollie Crane - 800m; 4x100m relay senior girls.
