THIS week the congregation welcomed Jim and Marilyn MacDonald back from holiday. They looked relaxed and rested after a break in the sunshine. Jim and Marilyn celebrate their Ruby Wedding this weekend and are looking forward to sharing this milestone with the family. Congratulations and best wishes from the parish community.
On Sunday the congregation celebrated Communion and Rev. MacDonald encouraged participants to reflect on the range of people Jesus invited to share a meal.
The sharing of a meal is a wonderful type of fellowship and Jim referred to the numerous opportunities for this type of fellowship in our Church.
Organist, Elizabeth Boyd, had arranged additional musical items as part of the celebration. Elizabeth played two duets at the clavinova with Laura Cameron, one of her former pupils. Laura has just completed second year of veterinary medicine at the University of Edinburgh and Jim welcomed her back to Crieff for the summer along with other young people returning from study.
On the theme of sharing a meal the World Mission team will be holding an all age BBQ in aid of Jamaica in the Church grounds on Saturday, June 27, starting at 12.30pm. This is a not to be missed chance to have food, fun and fellowship.
The youth clubs are winding down for the summer and thanks go to the team of people who organise and deliver this church connection for the young people in our community.
The Holiday Bible takes place over three days, from Monday, July 6 to Wednesday, July 8, from 9am to 4pm in Academy Hall, Strathearn Terrace. The team are looking for volunteers to serve refreshments.
Alison Armstrong and Susie O’Neill would like to thank everyone for supporting the Bluebell Picnic Lunch event. Funds raised will help the Post Natal Depression Counselling Project.
