On your marks for the Hairy Coo challenge

THE annual ‘Hairy Coo’ challenge is being held at Comrie Croft this Saturday. The fun, race-based mountain bike event for both juniors and adults takes place amidst some spectacular scenery.

But the multi lap cross country event is not just for those taking part. Spectators are invited to come along and see the riders tackle the tricky obstacles and water hazards.

There will also be a bike 'bunny hop' competition, bouncy castle, live music and a spit roast, and a sign up sheet for those interested in forming a local mountain bike club.

And don’t worry if you don’t manage along on the day, the Comrie Croft trails are open all year if you prefer to have a quiet ride round at a more leisurely pace.
