Strathearn singers boost Shoebox Appeal

PICTURED at their recent concert in aid of the Blythswood Shoebox Appeal are the Strathearn Singers Ladies Choir conducted by Vivian Cowing, together with members of the local Blythswood Appeal Committee.

The committee members expressed their thanks to the choir, who are busy with several concerts in aid of charitable causes between now and Christmas, for their support for Blythswood. The concert has raised £740 so far for the appeal.

This year, for anyone a little bit too busy to decorate their own shoebox, the appeal is selling ready-decorated boxes for the very reasonable sum of 50p! These are available from the Herald office and committee members.
