A man found dead on a mountain range summit has been named by police.
Robert Tasker, 55, from Dundee, died near the top of Meall Nan Peitherin, south of Ullapool, Highland.
Mr Tasker, who had been with a family member and a friend, was described by police as an "experienced hill walker".
Police were called shortly before 12pm on Monday over a medical matter. That led to a mountain rescue involving Dundonnell Mountain Rescue Team.
Members of the team found the group but the man had died. He was taken to Raigmore hospital in Inverness.
Police said his death has been caused by "an apparent medical condition".
A report has been submitted to the procurator fiscal.
Meall Nan Peitherin, which is part of the East Fannich range, is said to be about 3,196ft above sea level.
