White-tailed eagle found breeding
A white-tailed eagle, made famous on BBC Two's popular Springwatch programme in 2005, has been discovered breeding in the west of Scotland.
Royal Society for the Protection of Birds (RSPB) Scotland launched a nationwide appeal to find the birds, which were featured as chicks in the first series of the nature programme.
Since fledging from their nest in July 2005, there have been occasional sightings of the siblings.
