A community has bought part of a forest owned by film director Lord Richard Attenborough.
The community bought 700 hectares of the Rhubodach Forest, which had a price tag of £1.47 million, but had to sell part of it immediately due to a lack of funds.
Part of the forest on the Isle of Bute was sold to the Mount Stuart Estate for £1.25 million but the Bute Community Land Company (BCLC) negotiated rights to use the land for walks, cycle paths and renewable energy projects.
