A woman has been taken to hospital after falling from a window and becoming impaled on railings.
Paramedics were called to Orwell Place in Edinburgh's Dalry area at around 3.40pm on Saturday, where they found the 67-year-old with her left thigh impaled.
A rescue crew was called in to cut the railings and she was taken to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary with the bars still attached to her leg, it is understood.
