School honoured by Autistic Society

A primary school will become the first mainstream school in Scotland to receive accreditation from the National Autistic Society.

Banff Primary School in Aberdeenshire was rewarded after demonstrating that it has specialised knowledge and understanding of autism.

Staff showed that this knowledge and understanding of the condition informed all aspects of practice at the school, including the individual assessment and support plan for all pupils.
