More poachers prowling countryside

The number of people involved in poaching and hare coursing has increased "dramatically" in the past year.

Police have now launched a public awareness campaign to highlight the scale of the problem in Scotland.

Figures showed that the number of hare coursing incidents, when dogs chase down hares and which was made illegal in 2002, increased from 67 in 2008 to 148 last year.
