Bomb suspect's father apologises

The father of an Iraqi NHS doctor accused of leading a terrorist car bombing campaign in London and Glasgow has apologised to the British public.

Professor Talal Abdulla, 57, said the "sky fell" on his family when his son Bilal was arrested over the alleged terror plot.

He said the family name has been "blackened" and that he cannot imagine his son preparing to kill himself in the name of Islam.
