£60m package aids first-time buyers

First-time buyers were handed a £60 million package to help find affordable homes in Scotland.

Alex Salmond told delegates at the SNP annual conference that he would increase the Scottish Government's shared equity programme by 150% - up from £24 million last year.

He said: "This will help not just first time buyers but also families currently struggling to sell their homes.
