New Jaguar a good buy
VALUATION experts are predicting that Jaguar's next new car will be a good buy when it reaches the showrooms next month.
According to Glass's Guide, the XJ model should set a fresh benchmark in residual values and worth more than premium sector rivals on the used car lots.
'Its design brings a fresh approach to the luxury car segment and is sure to appeal to a wider and younger audience. We're not surprised to see it going head-to-head with the Mercedes S-Class, traditionally the industry leader for retained values,' said EurotaxGlass's spokesman Jason King.
Research suggests that the 3.0-litre diesel XJ, priced from £52,500, will retain more than the equivalent Mercedes-Benz after 12 months or 20,000 miles and after three years and 60,000 miles of motoring.
